Belleville police are investigating a violent domestic dispute at an east end residence yesterday.
Officers responded after being called by a friend of someone involved in the incident which occurred around 7 o’clock in the evening.
Upon arrival, police saw a woman with obvious injuries on the front step of the home. The interior was heavily damaged.
A 25-year-old Belleville man was arrested and charged with assault, mischief, and uttering threats.
He is in for a bail hearing today (Tuesday). He will not be identified to protect the identity of the victim.
