Students in Hastings Prince Edward can expect to learn more about Black history, Indigenous history and the Pride community moving forward.
At Monday’s Hastings Prince Edward district school board meeting, it will be recommended that the board adopt the celebration of Black history month in February and Indigenous History month as well as Pride month in June moving forward.
Pending approval, this would mean that all schools under the HPEDSB would recognize Pride month and Indigenous history month every June and Black history month every February moving forward.
