The application period for the 2021 Municipal Community Grants Program is now open.
The Municipal Community Grants Program provides support to not-for-profit and community-based organizations.
Applications must focus on one or more of the following: arts, culture, heritage, recreation, environment, health and/or human services.
“The Municipal Community Grants program is especially important at this time when community groups have been asked to respond to a global crisis at the local level,” says Mayor Steve Ferguson. “Non-profits and community groups contribute to County life in immeasurable ways. We are proud of their contributions and innovations, and are proud to partner with the sector through this grant program.”
The Municipal Community Grants Program is made possible through funding from the County of Prince Edward in partnership with The County Foundation, which augments funding and administers the program.
“Our community has a huge number of organizations that work day in and day out to support the community in a myriad of ways,” says Jefferson Gilbert, Executive Director of The County Foundation. “The Municipal Community Grants Program provides support to upstart programs and projects. The County Foundation is proud to support financially, administratively and in partnership with the municipality.”
There are three granting streams available in 2021:
- Grants over $5,000 in cash
- Grants up to $5,000 in cash and in-kind (up to a maximum of $2,500 in cash)
- Grants up to $1,000 (in-kind only)
For the 2021 Municipal Community Grants Program, preference will be given to applications for projects that can be implemented regardless of limitations imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic. All funded projects will be required to adhere to ever-changing public health advisories and guidelines.
