A concerned citizen’s call to police led to the arrest of one person in Quinte West on Thursday.
Around 11:30 a.m., Quinte West OPP received a tip about a vehicle being driven erratically and involved in a near-collision in the area of North Elm Drive in Trenton.
Officers located the vehicle and driver at a Nelles Avenue residence.
Signs of impairment were noticed in the 42-year-old driver and they were arrested.
The accused faces charges of Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs – and Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration.
Their licence was suspended for 90 days, their vehicle was impounded for seven days and they are scheduled to appear in court on February 4.
OPP say if you suspect that someone is driving or about to drive impaired, call 911 and report it.
