A war of words between the Teamsters Union and Stock Transportation, as a strike by school bus drivers and mechanics continues. In a press release, the union says negotiations will resume Tuesday. The union wonders why Stock Transportation hasn’t agreed to meet earlier, noting the upset the strike is causing families in the Napanee/Kingston area. Meantime, Stock Transportation says the Teamsters Union’s wage demands have been completely ridiculous, starting at 82 percent, and decreasing to 29 percent. Stock says it can’t afford such increases. Stock Transportation believes the Teamsters are using their company to dramatically increase driver’s wages province wide.
