Quinte West council will hear an update on the status of the fundraising for a Natural History Museum in Quinte West at its meeting Monday night.
The group has been fundraising and collaborating with city council to bring the idea to life since 2013.
The total cost for the museum projects to be approximately $15 million. Most recently the corporate finance committee slotted the natural history museum in for $200,000 in funding from the city in 2021.
A natural history museum would provide a look at the history of life and diversity in Ontario.
Quinte West council meets Monday night at 6:30.
