Central Hastings OPP say they are investigating a string of fires in the Stirling-Rawdon area as potential cases of arson.
OPP and firefighters from Stirling-Rawdon and Belleville, were called out around 2:00 a.m. this past Saturday morning when a fire was reported at a vacant gas station property on West Front Street, as well as a vacant two-storey residence beside it.
Investigators believe those two fires started separately.
Not long after, firefighters responded to a burning cube van on River Valley Road in Quinte West, not far from the first scene.
There were no injuries, but authorities believe all three fires are suspicious and the OPP, along with the Ontario Fire Marshal’s Office are both investigating.
Anyone who might have information can call OPP or Crimestoppers.
