The Belleville Police Service responded to 37 calls for service from January 3, 2021 at 5 a.m. to January 4, 2021 at 5 a.m.
Public Intoxication Charge
On January 4, 2021 at 1:14 a.m., police attended the area of Moira St East in regards to an unwanted person. Upon arriving, police observed an intoxicated male outside the complainant’s residence refusing to leave. Subsequently, the male was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place and was transported to the Belleville Police Service. He was issued a Provincial Offences Notice for Being Intoxicated in a Public Place under the Liquor Licence Act and is to be released when sober.
Mischief Under $5000 Charge
On January 4, 2021 at 12:10 a.m., police attended the area of Thurlow Queen St. and Hoskin Rd for a report of a Mischief. Upon arrival, Police conducted an investigation that revealed an intoxicated male had damaged a vehicle during an altercation. As a result, police arrested a 42-year-old Belleville man, Michael Delaney, for Mischief Under $5000. He was transported to the Belleville Police where he is to be released when sober on an Undertaking for Mischief Under $5000. He was given a court date of February 4, 2021 to face the charges.
Drive No Licence Charge
On January 3, 2021 at 9:20 p.m., police received complaints of an erratic driver in the area of North Park St and Marsh Drive. Police located the suspect vehicle parked on Marsh Drive with a female driver inside. Upon further investigation, Police learned that the female driver was unlicensed. The female was issued a Provincial Offence Notice for Driver Motor Vehicle-No licence under the Highway Traffic Act.
