From Monday December 28 until Saturday January 23, Belleville Public Library and John M. Parrott Art Gallery will offer pick-up and drop-off service only as per the Provincial lockdown orders. During this time, customers will not be able to enter the Library or Gallery and must pick-up and return items at the main entrance. Returns will also be accepted using the return slots on the outside of the building.
All items returned to the library will be placed into quarantine for a minimum of 3 days before going back into circulation for other customers to borrow. No late fines will be applied during the quarantine period.
We are open to return or pick up items from Monday to Thursday, 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and Friday to Saturday, 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Virtual Branch
We have extensive digital programming options, training courses, movies, eBooks, audiobooks, magazines, picture books, comics, and more that can be accessed 24/7 using our Virtual Branch services on a computer or mobile device. www.bellevillelibrary.ca
Physical collections
If you are interested in borrowing physical items like books, DVD movies, and CD audiobooks, you can use our website to search for items and request them (place them on hold). When the items you have requested become available, you will be contacted by the library according to the contact preference on your library card. You will have five (5) business days to pick up your items.
Customers can also request items to borrow, or request assistance with using the online catalogue or finding items to borrow, by calling 613-968-6731 ext. 2035.
Pick-up hours are: Monday to Thursday, 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Friday and Saturday, 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

While we are closed to the public, if you need to renew your library card, please call 613-968-6731 ext. 2037.
If you are a resident of Hastings County or the Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory and you would like to register for a new library card, please visit our website and fill out a form to request a temporary Internet Only card: https://bellevillelibrary.ca/librarycardc7.php. This temporary card will allow access to our electronic resources and digital content. When the library is open to the public, you will need to visit in person to provide proof of address and update your card to a regular membership.
