The Ottawa Senators made a trade on Monday that will affect the Belleville Senators’ AHL roster.
Forward Michael Carcone was dealt to the Nashville Predators in exchange for forward Zach Magwood.
Carcone was acquired by the Sens from Toronto ahead of the 2019/20 seaso, as part of a package that included Connor Brown and Nikita Zaitsev and notched 13 goals and 14 assists in 59 games with Belleville.
Twenty-two-year-old Magwood was not drafted to an NHL club after his junior tenure with the Ontario Hockey League Barrie Colts and spent most of last season with the ECHL Florida Everblades where he registered 19 goals and 28 assists in 41 games.
He also tallied one goal and one assist with the AHL Milwaukee Admirals.
