The Federal Government is handing out more than $65,000 to help support local Royal Canadian Legion branches through the pandemic.
MP Neil Ellis announced the funds today, which come from the Veterans Organizations Emergency Support Fund, part of Canada’s COVID-19 Economic Response Plan.
Each of the Legion branches in Belleville, Trenton, Wellington, Picton, Consecon and Frankford will get $10,845.05.
The money will be used to cover operating expenses so those branches can continue to support those who bravely served our country.
