A new ride sharing program is launching today (Friday) in the city.
Uride will launch at noon in Belleville.
Uride founder and CEO Cody Ruberto says Uride was created to solve the major challenge that is getting access to reliable transportation in small to medium sizes communities.
He says the one hour wait times are a problem that shouldn’t exist.
In honour of the launch, Uride is offering users in Belleville up to 50% off all rides until December 31 with the promo code of BELLEVILLE50 when booking.
Both passengers and drivers are required to wear masks and passengers must sit in the back seat.
Passengers and drivers are required to follow all public health guidelines while using the platform.
Ruberto is also thanking Councillor Chris Malette, who played a key role in bringing ridesharing to Belleville.
