The Hastings Prince Edward District School Board is telling parents to be prepared for the possibility of schools remaining closed after the Christmas break.
Director of Education Sean Monteith says no decision has been made as of yet, but parents and families are asked to be ready to make the shift to remote learning.
He is asking families to make sure there is a working device at home, ensure the school has your correct email address and log in to and confirm access to your child’s online platform.
Monteith is also recommending items that may be needed over break are brought home, including food.
The school board will communicate more over the holidays as information is made available.
