As Belleville looks forward to 2021 the city has the prospect of moving forward on recommendations of the Housing Summit.
Mayor Mitch Panciuk says the action will come through the recently adopted Community Improvement Plan, allowing the city to provide financial incentives for this development.
What will be happening downtown is that our ability to provide additional incentives on top of the facade improvements and Brownfield improvements is really going to spur some, uh, development and so when that happens there’ll be more opportunities for businesses.”
Panciuk tells Quinte News he expects business to “flourish” as the city comes out of the pandemic, and he adds, there will be “a super hot recovery in our region.”
