The upgrades to the sewage system is a major issue as Tweed looks ahead to the year of 2021.
Mayor Jo-Anne Albert tells Quinte News this council, and three town councils in the past, have been working on getting work done on the wastewater sewage system at the lagoon.
Government funding for the project was announced last year to make this happen.
Albert says the town had been phasing in some of the work but now it will go ahead.
