Construction is officially underway on a new $116 million Golden Plough Lodge & Northumberland County Archives and Museum facility.
Northumberland County Council and others held a ground breaking ceremony yesterday (Monday) at the site of the new senior’s residence and archives in Cobourg.
The new 180-bed Golden Plough Lodge will include one- and two-bed rooms across six resident home areas and include fireside lounges, a café, a greenhouse and an auditorium for special events.
The 203,000 square foot building should be ready to open by the fall of 2022.
