Two people from Belleville and two people from Greater Napanee are facing drug charges according to Lennox and Addington OPP.
Members of the OPP East Region Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) the OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT), Lennox and Addington County OPP, Belleville Police Service and Project Renewal executed search warrants at a residence on Dundas Street in Napanee and on Station Street in Belleville on Friday.
Police seized a large quantity of purple Fentanyl, blue Fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine, diazepam pills, nearly $8000 cash, a prohibited knife and drug trafficking items.
James Derushie, 45, and Lisa Douglas, both of Belleville, were charged with:
- Possession of Proceeds of property obtained by crime
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance
Matthew Johnston, age 34, of Greater Napanee was charged with:
- Possession of Proceeds of property obtained by crime
- Fail to comply with undertaking
- Possession of a prohibited device
- Two counts of Possession of drugs for the Purpose of Trafficking
Brooke Sawyer, age 24, of Greater Napanee was charged with:
- Possession of Proceeds of property obtained by crime
- Possession of a prohibited device
- Two counts of Possession of drugs for the Purpose of Trafficking
All were released and are scheduled to appear on February 2, 2021 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Napanee.
