Christmas came early for Quinte Health Care this year, as the the Belleville General Hospital Foundation delivered another half million dollars.
The BGHF has raised another $500,000 to help purchase priority medical equipment for Quinte Health Care and Belleville General Hospital.
This most recent cheque brings the total that BGHF has donated to Quinte Health Care this year to $1.5-million. Annually, BGHF raises over a million dollars towards the hospital’s replacement equipment needs.
BGHF Executive Director Steve Cook says it’s incredible to raise that amount of money during a pandemic, but there is still a lot more work to do.
Cook went on to thank the public for their incredible generosity this year and hopes the “UnGala Gala” fundraiser on right now, as well as the Christmas Angel Campaign, will see a further $250,000 raised. Cook adds that it would be incredible to end the year with another $250,000 in donations that BGHF could deliver to Quinte Health Care and bring the total fundraising to $1,750,000 for 2020.
