UPDATE:
The 401 has re-opened following the crash east of Belleville Wednesday morning.
Around 6:00 am, emergency crews responded to the eastbound lanes of the 401, east of Highway 37.
Near the Shannonville exit, a tractor trail jackknifed, while another went into the ditch, closing the east lanes for two hours.
The weather forced dozens of bus cancellations, and some very slippery roads across the region.

There are two tractor trailers causing massive delays on the 401 Wednesday morning.
Shortly after 6:00 a.m., emergency crews were notified of the crash, west of the Shannonville exit in the eastbound lanes.
A tractor trailer is jackknifed, and another big rig is in the ditch.
A caller to Quinte News is three vehicles behind the incident.
