Belleville police were called for a garage break in Friday afternoon.
At approximately 2 p.m. Friday police were at a residence in the south-east end of the city where investigation revealed an unknown person had tried to break into a garage, damaging the door.
Police say it happened between November 30 and December 3 and that approximately $1,000 of damage was done to the garage door.
According to police, no entry was made successfully and nothing was stolen.
