LONGO, SALVATORE ANTHONY “SAL”
Passed away at home with his loving family by his side on Wednesday, December 2nd, 2020 in his 77th year. Loving husband of Jill Longo for 52 years. Cherished father of Chris (Jennifer), Matt (Amy), Tyler (Nicole) and Ashley (Erik). Dear brother of Gus Longo (Mary-Anne), Mary Bataglia (late Joseph), the late Zina Indovina (late Joseph), Joe Longo (Theresa) and Tom Longo (Zina). Devoted poppie to Caitlin and Sammy Longo, McKenzie Russo, Kendall, Mason and Blake Kolga and Emma, Dexter, Rosa and Beau Longo and Mika Pujic. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, friends, customers and the local community.
Sal was a loving father and a devoted grandfather who always made time for his kids and grandkids. He never missed a recital, a game or a practice and was never afraid to share his two cents on the kid’s performance. He also loved his friends, his poker games, his trips to Aruba and his time at Sales and Ad. He was a proud supporter of local sports and local business and devoted past president of Sales and Ad. The only thing greater than his love for his family and friends was his passion for his business. Sal was a passionate entrepreneur and a visionary in the hair industry. He trained and mentored hundreds of stylists and is responsible for the development of an industry in the Quinte area. The family offers its condolences to the OLG and proline specifically. His love for Sunday football and the prop bet was unmatched! The family will miss his frantic runs to the convenience store and his relentless search for his proline tickets.
