A man charged with arson, assault with a weapon, forcible confinement, killing or injuring an animal, and other serious charges in connection with a house fire in rural Quinte West last year has been found not criminally responsible for his actions.
On September 25 of last year, Quinte West firefighters, OPP, and paramedics responded to a house fire on Gunter Settlement Road.
Damage was confined to a bedroom and a woman suffered minor injuries.
A man in his 30s, who’s never been identified by police, was charged.
He was found not criminally responsible in a Belleville courtroom last week.
