Belleville city council will decide which infrastructure projects move ahead as it discusses its 2021 capital budget this Tuesday.
City staff is proposing a total capital projects budget of just over $36 million, over $3 million lower than this year’s budget.
Major projects proposed include reconstruction of a section of Orchard Drive at $5.9 million and similar work on Alexander Street costing $3.7 million.
Meanwhile, almost $800,000 is proposed for the repair of the arches on the Bridge Street bridge, a structure that has already had over $3 million worth of work done on it in recent years.
The draft capital budget as proposed will not increase local taxes.
