The federal government has made extra funding available to local small businesses to help them through these difficult pandemic times.
The government has topped up its Regional Relief and Recovery Fund.
That has led to Trenval Community Futures Development Corporation receiving a boost of $1.2 million while the Prince Edward, Lennox and Addington Community Futures Development Corporation is receiving $1 million extra.
With the funding, both corporations will be able to provide more interest-free loans to a range of businesses.
