Another eight new COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in Hastings Prince Edward.
The HPE Public Health Dashboard is reporting six new cases in Belleville today, with two new cases in Quinte West, and a total of 25 now active across the region.
All eight of the new cases were transmitted through close contact.
One person is in hospital, but not on a ventilator or in the Intensive Care Unit.
The local seven day case rate per 100,000 is 13.7, which could push the region into the yellow zone of the province’s COVID-19 response framework, if other factors also reach those thresholds.
The Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge Health Unit is reporting two new cases in Northumberland County today, for a total of 12 active cases there.
