A cottage fire in Alnwick-Haldimand township led to significant damages.
According to Today’s Northumberland, a cottage on Shearer Point Road on Rice lake started in the chimney around 7:50 a.m. Saturday morning.
Three people made it out safely, but the fire caused significant damages of approximately $275,000.
