A Belleville man has pleaded guilty to accessing child pornography, in connection to a Belleville Police Service investigation that dates back 2018, while another person arrested in that investigation has had his sentencing pushed back.
James Fancy, who was 56 at the time of his arrest, made the plea in Belleville Court on Thursday.
Court heard that a Belleville Police detective was investigating an online peer-to-peer network that was known to be used to share child pornography, leading to a search of a city home on May 30, 2018.
A computer with child pornography was found in that search and Fancy was arrested.
He’s set to be sentenced on January 13, 2021.
Meanwhile another accused in that 2018 investigation, Peter Palmer, has had his sentencing adjourned to January 18, 2021 and has also been charged with breaching release conditions.
