National Philanthropy Day looked a little different this year.
Annually on November 15, organizations nationally celebrate those who contribute to make their communities a better place.
Normally, celebrations by the Association of Fundraising Professionals of Southeastern Ontario would hold an in-person ceremony but this year, they are going virtual.
Stories of the winners will be shared on social media and on the AFO SEO’s website.
Local winners include:
Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser: Liz Lehtinen (nominated by The Children’s Foundation)
Outstanding Corporation: Leon’s Superstore Trenton (nominated by the Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation)
Outstanding Philanthropist: Sam Brady (nominated by The Children’s Foundation)
Outstanding Philanthropist: Catharine and Lanny Huff (nominated by the University Hospitals Kingston Foundation)
