The Belleville Police Service responded to 69 calls for service from November 13, 2020 at 5 a.m. to November 14, 2020 at 5 a.m.
Stolen Vehicle
On November 13, 2020 at 1:30 p.m., police received a report of a stolen vehicle taken out of a parking lot on South Front Street. The vehicle owner was in a store when a woman jumped in the car with the trunk open and took off eastbound on Dundas Street East. The stolen vehicle was described as a 2003 Burgundy Chevy Sunfire. The suspect was described as an adult white woman wearing a cut off jean jacket vest, white hoodie, white mittens and sunglasses.
The vehicle has not been recovered at this time and is still outstanding as stolen. Surrounding law enforcement agencies have been notified.
Warrants
On November 13, 2020 at 11 p.m., Belleville Police attended the Quinte Detention Centre in Napanee where they picked up a man on an outstanding Belleville warrant who was being released after serving a sentence at the custodial facility.
Forty-three-year-old, Chris Fitzell of Marmora was charged with Failing to Comply with a Court Order and Obstruct Police which are currently before the court. The accused was released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to attend court on December 3, 2020 to answer to the charge.
