The Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge District Health Unit has provided an update on COVID-19 facility outbreaks in the region.
An outbreak has been declared as of Friday, November 13 at Northumberland Hills Hospital in Cobourg after a second staff member tested positive for COVID-19. The first case there was confirmed November 11.
The outbreak was declared as it was determined the second case could have been due to exposure at the hospital.
The outbreak at Warkworth Place, which was declared on October 29, has officially been declared over as of November 13. The outbreak was declared after one staff member tested positive
