Lennox and Addington OPP have released more information about an incident south of Kaladar we first brought you yesterday (Thursday).
Tanner Sweet of Addington Highlands has been charged with multiple charges including: two counts of attempt to commit murder, two counts careless use of a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, pointing a firearm, possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order, dangerous operation and two counts of failure to comply with a probation order.
The 26 year-old was remanded into custody pending a bail hearing set for today (Friday) in Napanee.
Shortly before 6:00 a.m., officers responded to a report that a car had been damaged in a collision and shots had been fired near a residence on Highway 41 in the area of Raccoon Lake Trail Road. The individual involved had reportedly fled into the forest.
L&A County OPP members, the OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU), OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT) OPP Canine Unit and OPP Aviation Services conducted an intensive search of the area.
The suspect was arrested without incident shortly after 10:00 a.m. There were no injuries reported.

Highway 41 was closed for a short time to allow for officers to conduct a follow-up investigation.
