While thousands in the Quinte region are mourning the loss of Pat Culhane, the business of the city must go on.
Mayor Mitch Panciuk says now is a time of grieving, and celebrating Culhane’s life and legacy.
He says down the road they will look at the options, which include an election, or appointing a replacement.
Belleville business owner Tyler Allsopp finished in 7th spot in the Belleville ward race of six councillors.
He could be an option council can look at, however he says the main priority right now is Culhane’s family.
Allsopp says he will accept whatever council determines as the best course of action.
