The Belleville Police Service responded to 59 calls for service from November 9, 2020 at 5 a.m. to November 10, 2020 at 5 a.m.
Arrested on Warrants
On November 9, 2020 at 11:02 a.m., police were called to a west end residence regarding a female at that location causing issues. Further investigation revealed that 39-year-old Beth Koch of Belleville was wanted on an outstanding warrant for four counts of fraud. Koch was arrested on the strength of the warrant and transported to Belleville Police headquarters where she was later released on a Form 10 Undertaking with a December 3, 2020 court date.
On November 10, 2020 at 12:16 a.m., police were called regarding a suspicious person wandering near a Dundas Street East business. Further investigation found that 33-year-old Jennifer Murphy of Belleville was wanted on an outstanding warrant for failing to attend for fingerprints. Murphy was processed and released on a Form 10 Undertaking with a December 10, 2020 court date.
Public Intoxication
On November 9, 2020 at 7:15 p.m., police attended a disturbance at a residence in the city’s east end. Investigation revealed that a 67-year-old Belleville woman was at that location causing problems. She was subsequently arrested for her own protection after being found intoxicated in a public place, and was held at police headquarters until sober.
On November 10, 2020 at 3:05 a.m., police on general patrol observed a male under the influence of alcohol in the parking lot of a North Front Street business. After contact was made with the 25-year-old Belleville male, it was obvious he was not able to care for himself. As a result, he was arrested for his own protection for being intoxicated in a public place and was held at police headquarters until sober.
