Organizers say the virtual Quinte Career Fair held yesterday was very successful despite the pandemic.
Quinte West’s Manager of Economic Development Linda Lisle tells Quinte News more than 100 job seekers and 35 employers took part in the event, which was co-promoted by the City of Belleville.
Lisle says even with the need to meet virtually, rather than in person, all of the attendees were able to easily navigate the new format and they’ll do it again early in the new year.
“The platform worked really well. It was really easy to navigate through for both the employers and job seekers, is the feedback we’ve received so far. Definitely the virtual format, now and going forward, allows us to still offer these types of events, but just in a different way.”
