Residents of Belleville will get a close look at the city’s work on a new plan for parks and recreation.
The first public meeting for the Parkland and Recreation Master Plan will be held virtually on November 18.
The project team will provide an update on the progress so far, and discuss the opportunities and issues relating to parkland and recreation.
CAO Rod Bovay says the plan will guide municipal investment to enhance the city’s public parkland system and recreation facilities over the next 10 years. “Feedback collected from the public engagement process will be crucial in gauging the needs and priorities of our community and we continue to urge all residents to take the time to participate in.”
The meeting will be held online via Zoom Webinar. Those interested in participating must RSVP online by noon on Nov. 17 to reserve their spot. An email will be sent out in advance of the meeting providing registrants with the login details. Those who require additional accessibility supports are asked to contact communications@belleville.ca prior to the RSVP deadline so that alternate arrangements can be made.
