The Belleville Police Service’s new K-9 Officer was hard at work again helping another local law enforcement agency during a major drug bust.
K-9 Officer Bax and his handler Constable Jesse McInroy were part of a team led by Kingston Police that took down a major drug trafficking operation last week, as part of a six-month investigation.
One youth was arrested in Kingston and another young person, along with a 25-year-old Toronto man, were picked up by Peel Regional Police, on October 23, 2020.
Investigators say a Toronto-based street gang had allegedly been trafficking the drugs out of motels in the Kingston area and the raid led to the seizure of almost $323,000 worth of fentanyl, cocaine, Canadian cash and a gun.
