Northumberland OPP have released the results of last weekend’s Thanksgiving long weekend traffic blitz.
Officers patrolled highways and trails in the area, responding to 205 calls for service, running RIDE checks and taking part in the Ontario-wide Operation Impact initiative.
In Northumberland County alone, 55 charges were laid for speeding, 10 for other moving violations, two for seat belt infractions and one impaired driving charge.
Five drivers were also charged with insurance-related offences and three off road vehicles were checked, with no issues.
