The driver of a vehicle that hit a hydro pole on Dundas West at Avondale Road in west end Belleville early Monday is facing impaired driving charges.
The collision occurred around 3:30 in the morning and caused a power outage in part of the west end until after noon.
John Youngs, 49, of Trenton was charged after being treated for minor injuries at Belleville General Hospital yesterday.
Police say he had double the legal amount of alcohol in his system at the time of the crash.
