Docs By The Bay Physician Recruitment and Retention has secured yet another family physician for Quinte West.
Docs By The Bay and The City of Quinte West announced Friday that Dr. Amirta Sembhi has signed a medical services agreement with the city and is expected to open a family practice late this year or early next year. Dr. Sembhi is the fifth physician recruited by the program this year and the 10th since August 2017.
Dr. Sembhi’s practice will be at the Trenton Pharmacy Medical Centre at 64 Ontario St. She will take on patients from the Health Care Connect waitlist.
Dr. Sembhi completed her undergraduate at McMaster University before getting her medical degree from the University of Limerick in Ireland. She completed her residency at Dalhousie University in Sydney Nova Scotia.
