Inspector Jeff Martin has been named the new Detachment Commander of the Northumberland OPP.
He takes over the new role on October 16.
Inspector Martin began his policing career in 1994 as a constable with Lennox and Addington, formerly Napanee, OPP.
From there, he was a constable and member of the Emergency Response Team in East Algoma.
Martin has been based out of Northumberland since 2007.
He says it is a pleasure to continue to serve Northumberland County in a leadership role and he is looking forward to the new and exciting challenges the position has to offer.
Northumberland OPP serves the communities of Trent Hills, Port Hope, Alnwick/Haldimand Township, Township of Cramahe, Township of Hamilton, Alderville First Nation and Brighton.
