It’s been a quieter year so far when it comes to new construction and renovations in Prince Edward County.
To the end of September the county has issued 578 building permits valued at $70.5 million.
For the first nine months of last year, 678 permits were issued worth $88.5 million.
Meanwhile last month, 64 permits were issued in Prince Edward County valued at $6.2 million.
Most of that total came from permits for 11 new houses.
Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, building activity in Brighton so far this year is much the same as it was last year.
To the end of September, building permits valued at a little over $21 million have been issued in Brighton compared to $22.8 million for the first nine months of last year.
Meanwhile last month, permits were issued for close to $3 million worth of construction which included four small apartment buildings containing four units each on Cardinal Court.
