The month of September saw a significant drop in construction in Quinte West.
There were 69 permits issued last month with a value of $5.4 million.
When compared to the same month in 2019, that is down from 89 permits with a value of $10.2 million.
Of the permits issued, nine of those were for new residential properties, making up $2.9 million of the total construction value.
So far this year, 593 permits have been issued for a construction value of $69.8 million, much less than the 767 permits and construction value of $135 million in 2019.
