There were 1,685 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday (Sunday) across Canada.
About a third of those infected, 566, were in Ontario.
Meanwhile locally, as of Friday, the number of COVID-19 cases in Hastings and Prince Edward counties remained at 58. The latest two infections were reported last Thursday.
Six cases remain active.
In Northumberland County the total number of COVID-19 infections remained at 43 as of Friday with one case being active.
Updates on case counts are expected today.
