EMS Assist / Warrants
On October 3, 2020 at 12:30 p.m., police responded to a southeast residence at the request of city EMS regarding a man who was in possession of a knife threatening to harm himself. Officers attended the scene and found that the suspect male was not in possession of a knife and there was some miscommunication between the caller and EMS dispatch.
However, the man in question was known to police and a records check confirmed that the male had an outstanding warrant for his arrest that was presently before the courts. Twenty-six-year-old Benjamin Bellerive was arrested and charged for one count of Failing to Comply with a Probation Order. The accused was released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to attend court on November 5, 2020 to answer to his charge.
