Brighton has hired a new fire chief.
James Smith comes to the municipality from Rocky View Fire Department in Balzac Alberta where he was the District Fire Chief.
Smith has over 25 years experience beginning as a firefighter and progressing up the command ladder.
His first day is October 19th.
Smith replaces Rick Caddick who left to become the Deputy Chief in Quinte West.
