Northumberland OPP are looking to speak to the driver of a vehicle after a report of suspicious behaviour near the Alderville First Nation community.
Officers say around 8:30 a.m. Tuesday morning, a student was riding their bicycle to school via 2nd Line.
The student was approached by an unknown male driving an older model black two-door Ford sedan and was offered candy.
The student declined and fled the area.
The driver of the vehicle is described as an older white male having grey hair, wearing a grey toque with facial hair. He was observed to have missing teeth, facial scars near his eyes and had a strong odor of cigarettes.
The older model sedan had stock rims and tires with visible rust. The vehicle also had tinted windows, and tinted licence plate covers.
Police are looking to speak with the driver of the vehicle or with any witnesses that may have been in the area at the time of the incident.
The Northumberland OPP want to remind parents that it is important to have regular conversations with your kids about personal safety.
