Police have laid charges after a chase on Highway 401 Thursday that started near Brockville and ended in the Napanee area.
Leeds County officers tried to stop a car in the westbound lanes, around 1:00 p.m., but the driver sped off and hit a police cruiser, leading to a chase into the Lennox and Addington coverage area.
Officers used a spike belt to eventually get the driver to stop and the 28-year-old Markham man was taken into custody without any further incident.
He’s been charged with dangerous driving and flight from police, and was released with an October court date back in Brockville.
