Belleville Police Service responded to 49 calls for service from September 14, 2020 at 5 a.m. to September 15, 2020 at 5 a.m.
Breach of Undertaking
On September 14, 2020 at 9:20 p.m., police were called to a west end apartment complex with regards to a report of a male who was breaching his undertaking by being with a female who he was on conditions not to be. Upon arrival the male denied that the female was present but investigation found that she was indeed in the apartment and the 48-year-old Belleville resident was arrested for breaching his undertaking and transported to The Belleville Police Service where he is being held for a show cause hearing. The male has also been charged with obstructing police for lying about her presence. His name is being withheld to protect the identity of the female.
Public Intoxication
On September 14, 2020 shortly after 10 p.m., police responded to a call with regards to a male who was staggering onto University Ave with an open container of alcohol in his hands. Upon arrival police found an intoxicated 52-year-old Belleville resident in the area and he was arrested for public intoxication for his own protection. The male was transported to The Belleville Police Service where he was held until morning and released.
Theft of Trailer
Police are asking for the public’s assistance with regards to a theft of a 28-foot 2011 Jayco Jay Flight trailer white in colour that took place on August 27, 2020. The trailer was stolen from a Shannon Rd. property and was bearing licence plat # N5396J at the time of the theft. If anyone has any information with regards to the theft or the whereabouts of the trailer they are asked to contact Cst. Joy of The Belleville Police Service at Djoy@police.belleville.on.ca
