Another community in the Quinte region could soon be regulating the growing Short Term Accommodations business.
Monday Quinte West city council will be asked to have staff develop a policy to license and regulate short term rentals.
Available statistics show there are currently 74 active short term rental operations in Quinte West but most believe there are actually many more.
Prince Edward County is currently licensing and regulating these kinds of accommodations and the Municipality of Brighton is also considering implementing a similar program.
