Brighton council will decide whether or not to give its YMCA some more financial support when it meets tomorrow (Tuesday) night.
Because of the COVID-19 pandemic the municipality had previously waived 50% of the monthly rent that the Y pays the municipality.
The total amount of rent is just over $5,000 a month.
The YMCA has recently reopened but is still under financial pressure and has asked council to forgive half its rent to the end of the year.
Municipal staff is recommending that council approve the request.
